These fit like my usual size 6 classic bottoms but a bit higher. I have about a 39" hip at my biggest and these fit. I have size 8 in similar and they fit too but i like the size 6 better. Just enough coverage without being too skimpy or too much coverage. I bought the top to match. I recommend

i bought a sz 6 and 8. My hips are about 39". I like the 6 for a closer fit and for swimming but i have worn the sz 8 as well and it did work too. Just a little looser. Material is great and matches the top. I will use the extra bottoms to go with other tops i have.

I actually bought these in size 6 and sz 8. My hips are 39". They both fit but the 8 is a little less snug but I have worn it with the top and it did not get saggy when i went into the water so it is okay. I will keep both sizes as i prefer a snug fit and the sz 6 is good. I can mix them with other suit tops if needed and the price was good.
