From the President: It is 2008 and it promises to be a great year for Venus! This past year, we opened two new retail shops: Venus Estero at the Coconut Point Mall and Venus St. Petersburg at the Tyrone Square Mall. Along with our store in Jacksonville at the St. Johns Town Center, Venus customers are finding it easier than ever to shop for their favorite items.
We’re also very excited about the publishing of our first ever diet and fitness book, the Venus Summer Shape Up. This book gives you a 60-day program of straightforward advice and tips from our models on how to lose weight, look great and be in the best shape of your life.
The new swimwear and clothing items for 2008 are some of the best ever; right on trend and right on track with what’s hot right now.

| Getting Goal Oriented: How do our models stay motivated for photo shoot after photo shoot? They play “let’s pretend”! Even if models don’t have a shoot date booked, they will pretend that they do and work toward that date as if it were a genuine booking. So even if you don’t have any particular event coming up, you can either create an event or pretend (as our models do!) that an actual event is coming up. Plan or pretend that you have a swimsuit party to go to. Plan to attend your next high school reunion wearing the perfect little black dress. Or set a date to have your photo taken by a professional photographer. If it serves as motivation for you, then use it! |
Goal Attained Must be Goal Maintained: Models never let themselves get too far out of shape before getting really serious about bringing their bodies back in line. Most models have a cutoff of 5 pounds. If they find they’ve gained 5 pounds, they get serious about their workouts and diet that day. They never wait until they’ve gained 10 pounds. Once you reach your goal, set your own 5-pound cutoff, and use the scale to help you decide when to get a little stricter with your diet and exercise. |
