IT Security Engineer (apply)
This role provides vision and leadership for the development and support of security initiatives. This individual directs the planning and implementation of the enterprise IT system and business operation defenses against security threats and vulnerabilities, and ensures the secure operations of the company's systems, processes, servers, and network connections. This position is responsible for monitoring and managing the documentation and testing for Venus Fashion’s PCI-DSS compliance.

  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate all assigned systems operations functions and services related to securing the company's
    computer systems, servers, data, and network connections. This role will directly support other employees and vendors to handle the required duties.
  • Monitor and configure the Event Monitoring systems to insure all problem events are investigated and addressed.
  • Perform internal and external Penetration tests.
  • Manage and schedule external vulnerability scans. Support others to fix any problems related to vulnerabilities found.
  • Monitor connection security for local area networks, wide area networks, company Web sites, corporate intranets/extranets/portals, vendor and partner connections, and e-mail communications.
  • Monitor the administration of all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, incident response, cryptography, content filters, and anti-malware systems.
  • Create and maintain long-term plans and strategies detailing security infrastructure improvements. Lead strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of all IT security policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Keep abreast of current and emerging US laws and industry regulations regarding data privacy and security, with emphasis on the PCI-DSS.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, audits, and enhancements.
  • Recommend and support deployment additional security products and tools, or enhancements to existing tools, to detect violations of network security measures.
  • Create and propagate security awareness and training programs among employees.
  • Conduct research on emerging practices, services, protocols, and standards in support of system security enhancement and development efforts.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other appropriate discipline, plus 5 to 7 years of relevant technical experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • CISSP or CISM certification preferred.
  • Broad hands-on knowledge of network and IS security components, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols, including their vulnerabilities and solutions.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to conduct research into security issues and products as required.
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to the organization's goals, objectives, and environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly self motivated and directed.

This position will be responsible for the month end and year end close, year end audit participation, performing balance sheet account analysis and inter-company account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, performing cost and other financial analysis.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors of Science in Accounting
  • Total career/work experience 5+ years in an accounting environment
  • Proficiency in Excel a must

  • Experience in SAP a plus

Answers inbound calls distributed by our automated call distribution (ACD) system. Keys orders, credits, notes, and other data into our Quick Order Processing (QOP) system. Makes outbound calls to customers, when needed.

Job Tasks:
  • Answers questions about product availability, product specifications, pricing, and other questions customers may have about items or orders.
  • Communicates with customers via phone and follows standard procedures for taking orders, catalog requests, catalog name removals, and other requests.
